no love for honeycrisps? they’re expensive, true, but they’re my favorite
@eggsackley I’ve only gotten them a few times and I doubt it was ever when it was in the good part of the season. I like the flavor of em but they’re rarely crunchy. I might have to do a ranking eventually
@eyeshare I think fujis are currently out of season. The stores have them, but they all seem like duds. I would definitely be getting them if they were good right now.
@internethistory Nice! They’re one of the apples that seem to be good for the longest time, and are inexpensive. I only get em once in a while, but I like the flavor.

@descepter – My only two gripes are apples that are too sour or too soft. Lately the pink ladies seem to be more tart than I remember, so I’ve been off those (I also was getting those for almost an entire month straight). I’m not huge on the honeycrisps, but they’re one of the only plentiful and firm apples going right now. I also like Jazz apples, but those are dwindling too.
These are some of the best apples currently. I was getting opals on the regular but they seem to be dwindling. These and honeycrisps and braeburns are the only apples that are currently good where I go. I haven’t seen a decent gala or fuji since last fall. The golden deliciouses looked good but were soft.
