Hey, how’s your October going?

Thanks for asking! It’s busy! Can you believe the month is fucking already fucking practically half over!!?!? I’ve mostly finished with the gifs (3 movies left to gif, which I will almost certainly wait until the last minute about, unless I don’t). I still gotta queue em and caption em. I’ve been sticking to 50 queue posts a day. If I have extras for a movie, I’ll just post them later.  (For Friday the 13th I definitely had over 100).

I’m also sort of doing Inktober on my own terms which I’m enjoying. Even though I’m still just drawing simple subjects rather than full comic scenes, it’s me stepping out of my comfort zone of just drawing the typical cartoony faces all the time. I’m using reference and it’s working out pretty well for me. Although I have included a couple of “scenes” to my inktober list that I’ll try drawing.

My other thing is that I’m doing the HOOP-TOBER challenge on letterboxd, which is a challenge to watch 31 horror movies in October based on criteria from this guy Cinemonster that has been hosting the challenge for about 4 or 5 years now. For the challenge, I also have to write reviews for all the movies. I’m managing time better this year and I have been waking up early lately to get more shit done.

I wasn’t going to say anything about it because I so often can’t keep it up, but I also decided to take on a challenge I made up myself called WALKtober. Watching a lot of movies=a lot of sitting, which already almost killed me. So I decided that I’m gonna do a 15 minute treadmill walk for every movie I watch this month. It isn’t much, but I’ve pushed it too hard before and had to stop completely. I’m aiming at consistency and it’s already helping my respiration and making me feel good. I’ve been taking photos of the display after each walk when I’m done too, just to have a thing.

How is your October going? Brenda and everybody I mean???
