Hey guys, I’m selling this, and thought I’d offer it here first, since you’re real comix fans and not booksellers trying to turn a profit. As one of a thousand copies, in nf condition, from an exclusive limited 2001 French edition, one time only, it’s mighty expensive. But hey, it’s beautiful. Send me a message if you’re seriously interested.

Hey you should watch the movie ‘Good Time’.
Yes I caught that one a couple months back. Good recommendation! If you’re interested, check out my review for it here:
so then, have you seen MUM & DAD?
Nope! Should I ?
My doc did tell me he wanted me to schedule a follow up visit but it was something like a 6 month gap and I forgot. But you’d think they’d at least call me to remind me.
I don’t really know what happened, but I find it strange that my pharmacy typically has prescriptions for me sooner than I can go through the previous allotment. I have a surplus of pills because of that but never understood why my pharmacy did it. But anyway, I have an appointment next week.
How’d you like Mom & Dad? Thought it was pretty fun.
Everyone has caught on to enjoying Nic Cage’s “nouveau shamanic” thing and it really made me nervous because this movie seems to be in large part an exploitation of that. When people are really aware of something like that and trying to evoke and exploit it, the thing tends to be disappointing. So I was pleasantly surprised to find out that this movie is pretty well made and has some substance. Nic Cage’s performance felt fairly dialed back compared to something like Vampire’s Kiss or Deadfall (maybe due to age?) but it worked well for the plot of the movie.
I should also mention that Nic Cage fights Lance Henriksen in this. When ya ever gunna see that again?
Selma Blair’s performance in this is equally great. She’s more versatile than Cage is in this, balancing his energy first as a Mom trying to live a fulfilling life and trying to protect her family, and ultimately as a more restrained (than Cage), but calculating sort of villain. I’ve always liked her.
shout out to my doc who, instead of calling me and reminding me that I need to make an appointment for a checkup, just decided to deny my meds
