@itssomethingyoucantsee – Train to Busan is GREAT. It’s a well made modern zombie movie that is pretty intense throughout. I’ve heard people complain that it gets a little too dramatic for its own good, but that didn’t bother me. I thought the construction of the characters went hand-in-hand with the emotional themes and overall tone of the movie. There were also some innovative action based plot-devices that I really liked. Feels like a modern classic
If I learned anything from picking those movies, it’s that the 10′s have been a KILLER decade for movies so far. Harder to choose my top 5 than the 80s.
This is a tough question to answer, but I’ll do you one better and give you my top 5 rated movies from each decade straight from my letterboxd ratings (which are probably heavily inaccurate because I’m weighing movies individually instead of against each other, and of course feelings are subject to change).
