Been getting a bunch of these little green birds in the trees in the backyard and have been wondering what they are for a while. Had a tough time catching one on camera and only found that I succeeded after taking a closer look at the pics on the computer. This one is cropped and zoomed in. I uploaded the picture to a bird identification forum and they said it was a “Japanese White-Eye”. According to what I read, this bird was intentionally brought to Hawaii in the aughts to take care of pest problems. On the Wikipedia page it says it was first spotted in southern California this year. Thanks! I gotta watch that then. I think I saw part of it on tv once. Isn’t that the one with that zombie guy drinking milk out of the carton with half of his mouth hanging off his face?
