Heard for the first time as the opener of MANDY. Instantly liked it. I watched with my dad and he mentioned that he had access to this song but didn’t put it on playlists because it’s sad. I talked to him about it later and he said that for him, it evoked feelings of someone dying. Apparently it’s really all about hopelessness, but I feel like the melody is too enjoyable to be very sad. Reminds me of a lonely space traveler digging all the mysterious wonders of the universe.
