how my doc appt went today:

1.chat with nurse (who was very nice) about my bs

2.wait

3.chat with nurse prac. (who was very nice) about my bs. tell her way more than she tells me

4. she tells me something along the lines of “wow you really seem to have it all figured out, so I’ll put your meds thru and we’ll see you in 6 months”.

***what I shoulda said/done instead of waiting for the nurse prac. for a half hour:

“listen, I know you guys need to keep making money off of my illness on the regular, so just mark this as a visit and put my meds thru, and I’ll make sure to schedule my next appointment in 6 months so you don’t have to essentially hold my health for ransom. I don’t need to wait for the doc. This will save us all some time.”

when I said “couldn’t you guys just call and remind me instead of denying my meds?” she said no because they couldn’t possibly keep up with calling all the patients they have. I was gonna ask her why every other docs office I’ve been to can handle calling all of their patients, but decided not to.  But who knows, maybe they really do have some ridiculous amount of patients, being one of the only rheumatologists that take the type of broke person’s insurance that I have.
